Crime. It’s such a battle trying to stop it. We’ve got extra guards, barriers, car stickers and sky high gates. It’s come to the point where we seem to be trapped in our own neighbourhoods and yet we remain at the losing end of the fight.

But what else can we do?

Malaysia Crime (www.malaysiacrime.com) is a crime tracking website where anyone who has witnessed, been a victim of, or who knows of a crime can report it by simply adding an entry to the site. It then gets recorded according to the area it happened, allowing users to look out for places that have higher incidences of crime. This allows you to be more aware when hanging around a high crime area – protection through information.

It’s not that we can avoid going to these areas, but with knowledge, we are able to be a little bit more careful and aware of our surroundings – a first, but very important, step in preventing crime.
