So, we had a pie-eating contest and having scoffed the most, I won the pleasure of welcoming you to our brand new website.
No, of course that’s not what happened. I volunteered for this because I wanted the privilege of making it special.
Not only have we revamped our look completely, we also spent many hours brainstorming about how we could improve our services and ourselves to dish up more good stuff for you.
One result is this blog, where we will post observations and news about traditional and new media, pop culture, politics, fruit, hairstyles, the environment and just about anything else.
Truth is, we occupy an odd little niche in this market. We are trained communicators (both spoken and written), media and political strategists and information managers. That means that if you want your message out there, whether it’s through a course, a website, a book, an exhibition, an illustration etc. we’ll get it done and done well.
To do that, we’ve got to listen, observe and tell stories. That’s a lesson that arwah Yasmin Ahmad drove home to us.
Last night, we went to the charity screening of her Talentime. As usual, she flew us away to her world. Here, poetry and talent are not aloof but friendly, and diversity and difference do not build fences – they tear them down.
That led us to another change. We’re soon going to offer you online courses and mini-contests because we believe in good people and great ideas. This, right here, will be your Talentime and we can’t wait to see what you’ve got.
I really like the design. Cool Stuff…looking forward to see more interesting from the Salties
